Boquete Panama
The town of Boquete in the Rustic Province of Chiriqui, Republic of Panama is waiting for you. Remote but accessible and a perfect climate all the year round makes this "Island in the sky" one of the top places in Panama for ex-patriots from all over the world to stop and in many cases never really leave.
The highest peak in Panama, Volcan Baru looms large over the eastern part of Chriqui Province. Hiking to the top in the dark and watching the sun rise over both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea is a popular ritual with both locals and visitors alike.
Vibrant and bustling some days and sleepy and slow on others, Boquete Central is where you can start your day with coffee and shopping, dining or people watching and a leisurely stroll about town.
Nestled against the backbone of the the convergence of three different continental plates, Boquete lies in a valley at over 3000 feet above sea level. Only a short drive from David (Panama's second largest city), the Province is ripe for outdoor adventure by both land and sea.
The Rio Caldera winds its way through the Province of Chiriqui providing an important resource to the inhabitants. At the lower elevations it widens and slows emptying into the Pacific Ocean.
